The chill of Fall.
Just like that, summer came to an end. Way too soon. It was one hell of a stretch. Nice vacation, some of the best trades ever. That whole “carry trade unwind”, fall in AUD and NZD. It was beautiful.

With the weather, my trading cooled off, too. Nothing terrible, but seems like I just don't make much of a headway. Something like 2 steps forward, one step back. Here is an example.

Thankfully, I've been trading long enough to know this is inevitable and normal. Besides, I'm getting ahead, only much slower than in July and August. I miss those days.

It's just funny how this year there is a nice alignment with weather. Hmm, perhaps I should move to a place where there is always summer and that would guarantee winners.

Yeah, right.

I've been going over some long term charts, as I periodically do. And I mean long term.

Like monthly graphs going back decades. Here is EUR-USD over last 30 years.

Doesn't it look interesting? We are almost at a level unbroken in over 30 years. No matter what happens around 1.4500,it will have long lasting effects. If the prices go through it easily, dollar is in trouble for years to come. Should the resistance hold, it will be once more years before it's tested again. Just not as many.
Personally, I think we will see a reversal here. Of course, that's just an opinion and like all opinions, it doesn't mean anything, unless it's backed by money on the line.
Number of other charts are just as intriguing. USD-CAD, AUD-USD to name just a few.
Looks like really interesting times ahead. Should be fun.
